What better setting for holiday recreation ... hiking through thick forests, strolling along the beach, camping at the lake, paddling into rocky coves, skiing, golfing, and sightseeing. You can do this and more-often year-round.

Campbell River's Beachside Communities

For seaside holiday fun, drive twenty minutes south of Campbell River to our beachside communities: Middle-point, Oyster Bay, Stories Beach, Oyster River, Salmon Point, Saratoga Beach and Miracle Beach. This seashore is a popular camping, fishing and birdwatching destination, and Miracle Beach Provincial Park hosts summertime interpretive programs for the whole family.

Play golf, bask on sandy beaches, swim, explore tidal pools, walk the Woodhus Slough trail, and at the end of the day, go for an ice cream or roast marshmallows 'round a campfire. Nearby Saratoga Speedway keeps four-wheel fans entertained with stock car races, monster trucks, sprint cars and the fastest rental go-carts in British Columbia. Enjoy outdoor concerts during the summer.
