Fishing Reports 2017

Saltwater Fishing Report for the week ending February 01, 2011

Provided courtesy of Tyee Marine.

Cape Mudge: The Lighthouse is amazing for winter springs right now. Their are lots of feeders in the area so make sure to use smaller lures. Silver/Green 4" Coyotes, 4" Tomic Plugs, and Needle Fish are all working well. Jigging with Point Wilson Darts can also be very affective. Shelter Point is reportedly fishing very well right now as well.

The Hump: Winter Spring fishing can be very good at the Hump. Again, use smaller Tomic Plugs, Needle Fish, Point Wilson Darts or Gibbs Minnows. Flashers are not necessary during the winter months because of superb water clarity, but if you are using a bait that requires action like a hoochie, you must use one.

Winter prawning is very good at Francisco Point, Hoskyn Channel, and Hill Island.(please check for spot closures starting Jan.1) Set your traps along a shelf near the 300' contour and use a good mix of pellets with Carlyle just tuna cat food.
